Sciences"
Joe & Marco are
technology guys,
and barely know
how to spell
FDA. If you
have a novel
idea in biopharma or
medical devices,
we are probably
not the right
guys. Not
because we are
not interested.
Not because we
don't believe
that you can be
successful. We
don't invest in
these areas
because we are
not qualified to
do the due
diligence, and
more
importantly,
there is very
little "help"
that we can
offer the
company beyond
our money.
Southern
California / San
Diego focus
We focus on
Southern
California, and
specifically San
Diego. Most of
all, we are
lazy, and don't
enjoy getting on
airplanes to
visit our
portfolio. In
reality, at the
size of
investment that
we make, this is
a game best
played at the
local level. We
need to be near
our portfolio
for convenience,
and access. We
are willing to
do Southern
California deals
- outside of San
Diego, but the
first 7
investments that
we have made are
all in San Diego
county.
